Adam-12 was a television police drama, which followed two uniformed officers – Reed and Malloy – as they patrolled the streets of Los Angeles in their patrol unit, 1-Adam-12.
Created by Jack Webb of Dragnet fame, the series tried to capture a day in the life of a typical patrol officer as realistically as possible.
The show ran for 7 seasons on NBC, from 1968 through 1975, and helped introduce police procedures and police jargon to the general public.
The program followed the daily activities of a pair of LAPD patrol officers – seven-year veteran officer Peter ‘Pete’ Malloy (Martin Milner) and rookie officer James ‘Jim’ Reed (Kent McCord) – and to a lesser extent Sergeant William “Mac” MacDonald (William Boyett).
Much like Dragnet, the episodes were based on true incidents culled from LAPD case files.
The TV Guide has been autographed on the front cover by Martin Milner and Kent McCord……………….BOTH TV GUIDE AND AUTOGRAPHS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION………….
